Look Mom! Productions is an animation production company specializing in original series and feature development as well as production services. It is a subsidiary of Blue Ant Media.

Our Toronto-based, full-service studio was born out of a desire to shepherd our own projects through the production process in an effort to maintain creative integrity. We understand the importance of collaboration and communication in any working relationship and vow to treat your projects as our own. Our creator-driven focus is central to our approach; we strive to nurture and elevate your vision across all formats.

Look Mom! boasts a distinct and vast talent network, having worked with more than 500 independent artists, writers, and comedians over the course of the last several years. We just want to create stuff that would make our moms proud (and maybe some stuff that wouldn’t).

MEET THE TEAM!

Stephanie Claydon | Director of Animation Studio

After leaving the world of Advertising in 2014, Stephanie joined the Blue Ant Media team working as the Production Manager on the Bite on Mondo series of shorts. It was the start of Stephanie moving between Natural History and Animation, finally landing at Look! Mom Productions in 2018 on the series Bigfoot and Gary and His Demons.  Stephanie has been actively involved in the management slate of shows in production and development at Look Mom! Productions. Stephanie won a drawing contest in grade 5 and has the silk-screened denim jacket to prove it. Unfortunately this skill didn’t carry into adulthood and she can now only admire the beautiful work of her coworkers!

Stephen Sloan | Head of Studio

Look Mom! Productions discovered Stephen buried beneath the sands in the Valley of the Kings. Despite local tales of a curse they broke open his tomb and now they're stuck with him. As head of studio at Look Mom! Stephen brings over 20 years of animation experience to the job of coordinating the in house artists and addressing the creative needs of any current productions. Stephen also helps to guide the creative output of the studio alongside the rest of the executive team.

Lee Porter | Supervising Producer/Director of Development

Currently Showrunner on Doomlands and Supervising Producer across Gary and His Demons and other LMP shows, Lee has been with Look Mom! Productions since the early Bite on Mondo days. With a passion for character-driven comedy and unique, untold stories, Lee also serves as Voice Director and helped to establish LMP’s unique creative process, elevating our content at every stage. Previously Lee worked on such world class cartoons as Bravest Warriors, Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, and many more. Lee has no chin or personality, but he hides these facts with a beard.

Stephanie Da Costa | Studio Production Manager

Stephanie attended York University's Film and Video Program where she failed to complete her one animation assignment. Despite that setback, Stephanie powered through into the dynamic realm of children's animated television - working on gems such as Jimmy Two-Shoes, My Big Big Friend and Chirp before delving into the realm of writing for the Emmy-winning series, Dino Dana. Joining the innovative team at Look Mom! propelled her into the daring landscape of adult animated comedies; igniting her passion for crude jokes and violence. She once rode in a mini submarine with Orville Redenbacher.

Sam Chou | Director

Sam Chou is an award-winning series creator and director. Before his animated films played at TIFF and Sundance Film Festival, Sam was a traditional animator on feature films like Osmosis Jones (WB) and Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights before learning how to direct animation, mentoring under legendary animator, Chuck Gammage. Sam developed and directed the comedy series City in Crisis (Mondo, Adult Swim Canada), CG action series Max Steel: Team Turbo (Mattel), and Kody Kapow, an animated adventure series starring Jason Alexander (Universal Kids). He co-created and directed the web series Crime: The Animated Series, which premiered at both Sundance and TIFF and won Best Series for Adults at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in 2014. Sam worked with Mattel in 2014 to produce the short film titled, HE-Man: First Snowfall, which played at Fantasia International Film Festival in 2017.

Josh O’Keefe | Director

Josh O’Keefe (also known as JOK) is a Director and Art Director at Look Mom Productions. He is also the creator of ‘Doomlands’, a beer-soaked, high octane cartoon currently on The Roku Channel. Directing both seasons of Doomlands, and season two of Gary and His Demons (alongside Mark Little), Josh consistently finds clever solutions and memorable moments in every project. With a film degree under his belt, and a strong background in Animation and Graphic Design, Josh has a keen eye for what makes a great composition, and how to inject heart and nuance into any story. Josh has a big passion for music, sci fi worlds and cult classic cinema, with these influences often fueling his work. Josh made the move from Australia to sunny Toronto in 2019, and now calls Canada his home.
